A powerful brand needs powerful tools. Photoshop has been essential for creating all of our visual assets, from our logo and social media banners to the polished graphics for our Product Hunt launch. It's the undisputed industry standard for a reason - the power and creative freedom it provides is unmatched.

I designed the logo and all visuals manually in Photoshop. It gave me full control over the look and feel of the brand, pixel by pixel.

Photoshop is still the industry standard—and for good reason. When I need to prepare files for printing, refine edges, or build promotional visuals, nothing comes close in terms of precision and flexibility.

I chose Photoshop because of its industry-leading capabilities in photo editing, graphic design, and creative content creation. Photoshop offers a rich set of tools for precise image manipulation, retouching, and advanced compositing, which are essential for creating professional-quality visuals. Its seamless integration with other Adobe Creative Cloud tools and its vast community of resources made it the ideal choice compared to other design software.

I feel like that I from an ancient generation now, I have been using Adobe softwares since Photoshop CS2 launched. It has become second nature, there was dip in their focus, but I think lately, some of AI tech has made my life so much easier. Photoshop's texture brushes and layer effects were essential for achieving the authentic hand-drawn feel of these icons. I relied heavily on its advanced masking capabilities to create the subtle texture variations that give each icon its unique character. The batch processing features saved countless hours when preparing the final 1024x1024px exports, and the ability to fine-tune transparency levels was crucial for maintaining visual consistency across the entire collection.

The brush engine in Photoshop is one of the most robust I've ever encountered. The ability to customize brushes down to the finest detail, or to import and create my own, gives me an incredible amount of creative flexibility. I can simulate a wide variety of traditional media effects, which is something that other digital design tools often fall short on.

Layer management in Photoshop is also exceptional. With blending modes, layer styles, and adjustment layers, I have endless possibilities to manipulate and tweak my illustrations. It enables me to experiment without the fear of making irreversible changes.

Pros
+ robust brush engine (2)+ flexible layer management (2)+ non-destructive editing (1)

I use it since 2006. It's always been the best program. No other program had so many image processing capabilities. For processing, I read books by Dan Margulies, and then processing was very important. Today, of course, there are a lot of programs with ai, and the capabilities of cameras have grown a lot, but photoshop is forever in my heart and number 1 in my processing!

Pros
+ professional-grade image editing (2)+ industry standard (8)
