Have been using Arc since invite only days, it has made my web surfing way more convenient than I ever imagined. It has great UX. Never going back to safari or chrome. From little Arc to to the easel and most importantly multi tab view, Love it all!!
I want to love Arc so much, I do. It's a beautiful product and you can tell that it's thoughtfully designed but I struggle with a few things. One, the display is off on certain sites. For example, Product Hunt's "Coming Soon" page does not render well (the image gets distorted and cut off). Two, the horizontal tab layout of traditional browsers don't require scrolling so I can much more quickly scan what's open and navigate there. Three, the performance is shaky like some sites will occasionally crash. Four, my folders are getting quite deep and it's really hard to find links now. Again, I want to love this product but currently it's presented some serious difficulties.
looks cool. I will try and then update the feedback!
Without the Browse for Me, and tab management (did this whole project within 1 folder), I wouldn't be launching today! 🙏
Arc Browser has definitely changed the way we use browser tabs. Sometimes the complete switch to the new workflow doesn't seem to work. The iOS Companion was a little confusing for me to start using and get used to.
I started to use Arc for work. So far I love it. Once I got used to it, which was quickly, it made me never want to go back to a basic browser. Arc has made my productivity shoot up. I love it and I hope an iOS iPad version comes out soon.
I don't really see the benefits of this browser over Firefox, Vivaldi, or Brave. They just moved the tabs to the side instead of on the top. The other browsers all have pinned and favorites. As someone who does not use an external monitor, removing that space on the side is really detrimental. I can't even search my Gmail because there isn't enough space to use the search bar.
The use of the term Spaces is confusing because Gmail also has Spaces so if you have Gmail open then you see Spaces twice.
I cannot get Profiles to work at all. Also, not clear on the difference between Spaces and Profiles.
People keep talking about the customization and things, but I haven't seen anything that makes this a browser I need to use.
