W4.0 is a visual-first platform. Every strategy has a presence, every update has an identity, and everything needs to look sharp, fast, and consistent across devices. That’s where Cloudinary comes in.

We used Cloudinary to dynamically generate, optimise, and deliver images, whether it’s company logos, strategy thumbnails, or rich media embedded in content. It’s a visual processing engine and CDN in one. One image in, multiple responsive formats out, all instantly transformed with our desired styling.

In a platform where clarity and polish matter as much as performance, Cloudinary gave us both. Seamless integration, low maintenance, and reliably fast load times.

We build our own mini SDK in WeWeb to help us manage image formats and construct URLs to fetch images from the CDN.

I started out hosting the images on the webserver, but quickly realized this was a bad idea due to: It was loading the server quite a lot, but the biggest reason for using an image platform was that I can just upload the raw image, and then programmatically in the code serve images in different sizes and quality. Makes it so much easier to handle images.
