For being an incredible launch partner of Cal.com Routing and powering all of our HR infrastructure. Without Deel we couldn't ship as fast with our global team as we are today.

Deel helped us scale our company from 3 to 7 people very quick by getting workers across the globe in minutes. Thank's to Deel, we could easily get contracts for them, indifferently of their countries, and get them setup in minutes. We could focus on our product and made us scale fast.

In the past, I've been using Deel to receive money when I was living in Russia. Then 02/24/2022 happened and they stopped providing services in Russia. I get it, the country was financially isolated. But recently, I have legally moved to the United States and started using the service again. I had to change all my data and sign a new contract, of course. And I also had to prove my new location to Deel, which I did. They have CONFIRMED it. I have successfully received my first payment and withdrawn money to my US card. Now is the time to get the second payment. I have logged in, and there was a warning in my profile that Deel banking provider doesn't work in Russia. I didn't get what Russia has to do with my current situation and my life in general. I thought that was their error because of the old data in my account that had been updated before receiving the first payment. I have opened my withdrawal methods to check if I've set up the automatic withdrawals, and found out that they have DISABLED my withdrawal method with the American card. I decided to check what "russian" could remain in my account and found out that there is a "Nationality" section in the profile, that says "Russian". And that is basically it. Everything else is related to the United States, where I currently live. I've contacted support regarding their issue. And they made it MINE. They have not only stopped the discrimination but also treated me like a 2nd sort person and decided to waste even more of my time, demanding ANOTHER proof of my current location. This time, my leasing agreement wasn't enough; they demanded a local newspaper (because apparently in 2025 this is what everyone reads every day), a receipt from a local store, and so on. AND you should make a selfie with that "proof" AND put a note stating "For Deel" and the current date. This was truly infuriating. They have CONFIRMED my location before, they have ALLOWED me to withdraw the first payment, and right before the second one they decided to play their nationalistic games and waste more of my time proving the obvious. I asked if I could show them my internet bill. They said yes, BUT it should not be older than one week. And of course it was older than 1 week, I don't get them every day, and after the first one, I went paperless, thinking that no one would ask me to prove that I'm who I am like that. So they have created an issue, demanded the same documents plus new ones from me, and then they made an excuse why my documents aren't good enough for them to confirm the obvious the second time. All to waste even more, as much of my time as possible. So there you have it. They ask for your nationality, even though it is not their business. They confirm everything and make sure you get the money the first time. And then, when they receive YOUR money again, they bully you for your nationality if they don't like it. There is NO other reason to start wasting my time and demanding to prove everything for the second time after everything has already been approved by themselves.

OK, so our company used Deel for both the EOR and the PEO (USA) platform services. I will break this down into those two pieces as they are uniquely different, though the service level was equally terrible.

First, the EOR services provided by Deel to our company . . . . Avoid at all cost! Their invoicing is inaccurate and full of errors consistently. When you have questions relating to the errors, you do not have anyone you can call. Everything is guided through "AI" which is actually just a google search. If you want a response from an actual person, you have to submit an e-mail ticket, but then it takes anywhere between 3 days to a month to get a response (YES, I said a MONTH!). If you do not pay the incorrect invoice, then they will not pay your employee(s) even if the mistake is on their end. We even had a case where they paid an employee twice for the same period! The employees get frustrated as well as they cannot speak to anyone on the phone to ask questions about their paycheck or their benefits. They have to go through the same e-mail process that takes weeks sometimes to get a response.

Second, on the PEO (USA) side of things. Similar issues as the EOR, but way worse. As an administrator / HR Manager, there is no one to speak to about questions or issues with payroll or billing. All communication is through their "AI" which is just a google search. If you go through the e-mail ticket process, it can take 3 - 5 business days to get a response which usually is too late. Deel missed our first payroll to our employees and we had to pay everyone manual checks based on Net check amounts from our previous provider. Then they were supposed to provide payroll reports for that payroll so that the Taxes and Deductions were accounted for properly, but didn't get those to us until a month later and then the bill they gave us for it was wrong. Out of 4 payrolls processed with Deel, only two (2) were processed correctly and those were processed at the very last minute (the day before the employees were to be paid). Our HR team had to constantly reach out to Deel and essentially "babysit" them to ensure that the payrolls were processed in time for the employees to get paid (3 of the 4). After all of that, we still have not received the correct reports or invoices for the first and third payrolls. Trying to get someone on the phone to sort through the problems is virtually impossible.

The issue is that Deel outsources all of their services (VensureHR for Payroll, Slavic401k, and others). Deel is just a bunch of "Sales people" and they sell you on a complete solution that fails every time you turn your head! That is why they try to lock you into multi-year contracts, so BEWARE!

Cons
slow customer support response (10) inaccurate invoicing (2) outsourced services (2)

As a small company, we chose Deel hoping for a streamlined and fair service. Unfortunately, our experience has been anything but positive. Deel’s policies are completely intransparent and seem designed for large corporations, not small businesses like ours.

The way Deel groups hundreds of employees under the same company means we’re treated as a large corporation, even though we’re a small team. This has led to unfair overcharging, and when we reached out to customer service for help, they showed zero flexibility or understanding.

We were promised credits and adjustments that never materialized, and every interaction felt like pulling teeth. It’s clear that Deel prioritizes profits over supporting their customers, especially smaller businesses.

If you’re a small company, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Deel’s lack of transparency, inflexibility, and poor customer service make them a poor choice for businesses that need fair and responsive support.

lack of transparency in fees (3) slow customer support response (10)

Deel's platform falls significantly short of its marketing promises. What appeared to be an integrated global payroll solution turned out to be a disconnected system where different country platforms operate in silos. We've been forced to maintain our existing payroll systems in multiple countries, including the US, because Deel's platform simply isn't equipped to handle our needs.

To make matters worse, we experienced a security breach involving one of our developers, and getting answers about the incident has been like pulling teeth. The combination of poor platform integration, limited functionality, and concerning security issues is made even more frustrating by virtually non-existent customer support.

Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your global payroll needs. The platform's limitations and lack of responsive support make it impossible to recommend."

A terrible customer experience. My withdrawal is stuck and I have not been able to withdraw my salary for days. I have already contacted them, but they said that I am still in ETA and I have to wait. However, I told them that this problem is abnormal, that I have used this withdrawal method before, and that it has never taken this long. However, they still delayed. It is said that there is a problem with the intermediary company, but there is no satisfactory answer. They just tell me that I have to wait. I do not recommend it.
