Flat

I was initially skeptical about product management tools, but Flat completely changed my perspective. It's incredibly intuitive, striking the perfect balance between simplicity and advanced functionality. For my current project, I use Flat to manage multiple Kanban boards, one for each team, and it seamlessly aggregates data for higher-level product tracking.

The integration with GitHub is excellent, enhancing our workflow significantly. Additionally, the responsiveness of the Flat team is impressive—they actively listen to feedback and take prompt action to address any issues or suggestions. Highly recommended!

We were looking for an app that the chaos lovers in our team would agree to use, those resistant to any task managers. At the same time, it needed to be very flexible, capable of handling a variety of different processes. In 'Flat', we adore the simplicity of the UI, the naturalness of use (you want to change something, you click on it - almost no buttons!), the ease of transforming existing tasks when something changes in the real world, lightweight sub-task lists, and many, many other wonderful features. I also use the app for personal tasks. You simply need to play around with it. It's the best!

I like the simplicity in Flat. It uses a familiar interface, that's intuitive and fun to work with. I find myself jump around between the list and kanban view - depending on the mode I'm at. For example, during standup we use Kanban + filtering on each person and during review we use the list view.

Adding and giving visibility to external collaborators is very simple and useful for us since we have several contractors we regularly work with.

The integration with GitHub is key for us and makes it easy to tie between the two. With their recent exposure of their API, it's now very simple to create workflows that even go the extra mile and automate processes. For example, moving tickets between "columns/stages" based on a PR status.

My team adopted Flat right from the start. No one complained. I have rarely seen a project management tool with such a wide acceptance.

Lastly, the Flat team is very responsive. Not only they respond to feedback, they take prompt action!

We’re a small team and work on lots of issues at once - constantly bouncing them back and forth between team members and stages like ‘for discussion’, ‘in progress’, ‘in testing’ etc. We were tired of trying to represent this flow in Github. Flat fits our workflow perfectly and the team have been incredible in incorporating many of our suggestions. Honestly, we’d be pretty lost without it!

Can't say enough great things about the flat team and the product that they've built. Flat exemplifies my project management style of "just enough process" To get the job done with the least amount of busywork. Flat gets out of the way and lets me focus on building my product.

Flat is the simplest project management tool out there. It truly enables an entire team or entire org to have one source of truth with links to any other sources of information and a clear threaded set of comments. All the features you need and none of the cruft that you don’t. I am anxiously awaiting a mobile app though!

The simplicity of Flat isn't a result of immaturity; rather, it's the deliberate removal of anything extraneous, leaving behind an unparalleled user experience. Flat's greatness lies in its focus—it doesn't attempt to be all things to all people. Unlike Trello after it was acquired by Atlassian, Flat serves as the central hub for your work, rather than trying to encompass the work itself. For a product management solution that even your CEO will use, look no further than Flat, I know from experience.

I love Flat. It provides just enough functionality to prevent confusion, and stay focused on only the highest priorities. They're very responsive to feedback, too.
