Fly.io made it possible for us to spin up machines on the fly
Fly's infrastructure just works. Fast, cost effective and no fuss. Couldn't do it without it.
Use Fly if you need to deploy containers!
Our FastAPI backend is deployed on Fly.io, which gave us global edge performance and simple scaling without the overhead of traditional cloud ops.
As a solo dev, being able to deploy a containerized Go app globally in minutes is an absolute superpower. It just works. With other projects I started with the full AWS + Terraform approach but that was just overkill for going from 0 to 1.
As startup founder Fly.io is much better than AWS or GCP or Azure because it let me focus on building and shipping code, not managing infrastructure. I was able to deploy my app globally with a single command, and it just works - no hours spent wrangling IAM policies, setting up load balancers, or stitching together services. It feels like Heroku but modern and powerful, with Docker support, edge regions, persistent volumes, and built-in databases. For small teams or side projects, the experience is refreshingly fast, transparent, and intuitive - something the big clouds rarely offer out of the box.
For deployment, Fly.io provides global edge hosting that ensures our webapp is fast and responsive no matter where you are in the world. Their platform makes it easy to deploy and manage apps close to users, improving overall performance.
Had a really good experience launching my django website using Fly.io as it supports django-specific website support. It gives you full control of the memory and capacity of the website with ability to scale within literal minutes. Moreover, it allows you to pick what server to launch your website from (I chose Frankfurt) and you can add multiple servers to be able to serve people from different countries with high speed service.
Fly gives us the global edge deployment we need without the complexity of managing infrastructure across multiple regions. Their platform lets us focus on building Oboe while they handle the networking magic that keeps our experiments blazing fast worldwide.
Fast, simple to deploy, and globally available - fly made it easy to get the Planum Dashboard up and running.
This is not the first statup I am building, I was already used to hundreds of dollarts monthly bills from big cloud provider. It was a life changing decision to give fly.io a try. Backend server, frontend, PostgreSQL, notifications (Enveloop), file storage (Tigris) - all is running under $20 per month now. This is true saver for startups. Easy setup for people with no deep expertise in DevOps!
We deploy our Elixir services on Fly’s global edge network, so attorneys get sub-50 ms response times no matter where their courtroom is. Dead-simple Docker deploys, built-in Postgres, and “machines” that scale to zero.
Blown away by the dev experience and the reasonable pricing model, allowing me to get this product live for feedback without jumping through a million hoops. Fantastic CLI.
