It's the best Git UI client in a decade+
Native git client for macOS.
Native git client for macOS.
Fork is genuinely a good product. It seems to build on top of gitx, which was an open-source mac app that worked very similarly and had some of the very best UI for handling the complexities of git. Fork elevates the experience to a new level. HOWEVER (in caps), the main developer Dan Pristupov is very combative and unreceptive for any feedback received in the Fork issue tracker (on Github). I've experienced it first-hand in three different issue discussions over the last 3 years. His attitude is so alienating that after buying a license for this product and genuinely liking it I can't wait for something similar to come around. I'll jump ship in a heartbeat.
Fork has become my favorite Git client — it just feels so native on macOS. Everything is fast, intuitive, and blends seamlessly with my workflow. Hard to imagine going back to anything else.
Fork is one of the Git client apps that can be used for free. However, despite being free, it is exceptionally well-designed and highly functional.
Powerful & Great Platform
The workflow is smooth; it's like Git on autopilot. Efficiency is key, and Fork nails it with its straightforward approach.
Best Git Client. I use this mainly for large PR diffs. But the UI and the ease of use make the app an instant recommendation.
