Github Pages is free. Other free web hosts were sketchy, didnt offer a good free domain. pypositron.github.io, the domain that Github Pages offers, is better than pypositron.wixsite.com or even worse, sites.google.com/pypositron. Additionally, Github Pages does not require me to use a website builder.

For my static website, Pages is just perfect. All I have to do to push to prod is git push, and it's deployed in less than a minute.
