Used hopper for a hotel in New York. The hotel ended up being overbooked. Tried to get a hold of Hopper so that we could get our money back to book another room they ignored us and refused to refund us. We were stranded in New York with no hotel ended up having to book another one without getting the refund.

Also, I purchased two separate flights the same day around the same time I accidentally clicked the change anytime insurance instead of the cancel anytime insurance on one of the flights. But I did click cancel anytime on the other one. Despite seeing that, knowing that I made a mistake, they refused to change it and told me they cannot refund my flight. I was purchasing the cancellation insurance because we knew there was a chance that we might have to cancel when I went to go change the flight to find something cheaper cause they said it could refund the difference my app wouldn't work so they said I needed to purchase a new flight that could be cheaper and then they would refund the difference from the other flight.

Even though they told me that the airline was the only ones that could cancel my flight now they want me to book a second flight and then they will cancel that first flight, which I don't trust so now I'm just left to lose all that money from that flight. Customer service was terrible. No one is helpful. Both situations were horrible. I thought I'd give them another try and I regret it do not go through Hopper.

I've had other times that ended up being great and working out, but if you have anything go wrong, they are not helpful and they are hard to get a hold of and they will not refund you so you will lose money. It's not worth the risk even if you find cheap discounts.

What do i think about Hopper? Well i used to think it was a top notch booking site until i had to request a refund based on cancelation of a room and rebooking with them cause i found the same room cheaper. If you wanna chase to get your credit and have to call over and over to be told you'll see the refund in 2-3 hours and days later still haven't received it. I'd definitely think twice before booking with this app. Hopper was my go to booking app but after this experience I'll think twice

I purchased a flight and paid for it in full, and they confirmed it before canceling. Now, they won’t issue a refund for seven days, which is really inconvenient. I would never use Hopper again.

I booked a return flight with Hopper, they confirmed the ticket and the seat. The day of departure the airline contacted me and said that I was on standby and requested additional payment to ensure a seat. I called Hopper they could not explain what happened and would not offer any compensation.

I would give 0 starts if I could. I paid more for the flexible booking, with full refund and cancellation any time. I couldn’t make it to my trip for personal reasons and I TRIED to contact hopper many time BEFORE the check in, even though I had the flexible booking. They didn’t answer me, I was abroad and they don’t have an email. Never got a reply from their chat or calls. When I could finally talk to them, they didn’t accept my refund request because it was after the check in time. I have screenshots proving that I tried many times. I got my money back by requesting it from my bank. A few weeks later, I was charged AGAIN for the booking that I never used and I paid the extra amount to be able to cancel in case of any change of plans. Never booking anything through hopper again. Support is terrible as well.

I bought a round trip ticket from San Diego to Dallas. I selected 2 different airlines because they were direct flights. American Air lines cancelled my flight to Dallas because of unsafe weather and there available flights would not have gotten me there on time to the events I was going there for. My return with frontier was 2 days later, and I was not able to cancel and be refunded according to Hopper. They said Frontier would have to cancel and refund me, and Frontier is saying I have to go through the agency I booked tbe flight with, which makes sense. So my advice to the reader is, dont book any trip that's using 2 different airlines. Hopper should have refunded me or gave me credit being that it wasn't my fault the flight to Dallas cancelled. They were not professional on how they dealt with my situation and as long as they got paid was all they were interested in. The agent I spoke with had terrible english pronunciations and it was difficult for me to understand what she was saying which added more frustration to the situation. I have been a frequent user of Hopper for sometime, but I will look else where when booking my next trip. I am very dissatisfied on why they robbed me of my money and I didn't do anything wrong. Beware these people are shady and dishonest.

I wish i could give a zero The app is a scam!!!!I booked a house and it was confirmed then when i got off the airport they wouldnt send me check in information then they say the home i rent was not avalible they didnt give me a reson sen me to a much smaller place then the one i originally got and i had to take it because i had children and disnt want to be star ded in mexico city yes it was close to the place i book but way smaller and filthy when im telling you fithly it was nasty there was no shamphoo or soap like they advertice horrible and no one did anything to make it better

I’m only giving one star so I can do the review. My wife made a reservation through them and when we got to the address the building was torn down and there was nothing left but an empty lot. When we tried to get them to fix it they said they had to contact the hotel. We told them there was no hotel to call but they insisted that they would have to contact them beforehand. How do they plan on contacting a place that has been demolished?

We had an issue with our hotel stay and even though the hotel approved a refund for our stay and sent hopper proof of the approval after a month hopper still refuses to refund us, 5 long phone calls later I gave up when they said the hotel refused the refund even though they have proof of the approval from both the front desk manager and GM! Liars! They just kept sending me around in circles coming up with more and more people who needs tit check to approve the refund. I had enough, called my bank and disputed the charge
