GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc., exists but they aren't specific to front end, and this is where Kombai fills this gap. As a Front End Engineer I definitely appreciate having a coding agent that is specialized to my needs.
IMO the tech stack feature is the most valuable part of Kombai, it even can scan the code base to automatically know what tech stack you're using. The "Code" (frequently referred to as "Agent" mode in other AI coding tools) works well too.
Definitely a good contender to the big players.
This tool is great for converting Figma designs to HTML. It's efficient and will definitely save me time!
Congratulations @dipanjan_dey for the launch. Have been a user of Kombai and must say the value of the product is phenomenal for designers and front end developers
Kombai streamlines design-to-code handoffs with clean, compile-ready output for React, Tailwind and MUI, though it still lags in pixel-perfect fidelity, multi-page workflows and drag-and-drop editing.
Tried Kombai — it quickly and neatly turns designs into code. I work with AI visuals, so it was interesting to test it on real tasks. It’s not always flexible enough, but overall a great tool, especially for fast MVPs.
Figma URL to React is really quick and have potential to save 80-85% of my efforts.
Really great initiative! I tried this on numerous figma designs and it gave near perfect code for it. I also compared it with anima and it gave better results. Some future scope of improvement :
- Font styles are sometimes displayed different than the one used in figma design template.
- Code for Angular framework as well.
- Additional feature to edit template in preview section. The corresponding code should be adjust in real time. This might be a game changer. Great product overall! Cheers.
had an astonishing experience with Kombai, specialised product designed to elevate your grasp of UI comprehension and coding, akin to that of a seasoned developer! After supplying it with a few of my personal designs, presto! Within mere seconds, I acquired impeccably crafted UI code, all without the tedium of manual tagging or the complexities of wrangling auto-layout nuances. The cherry on top? The generated code adheres to a coherent DOM structure while upholding a pristine CSS—no more vexing hardcoded dimensions! 🚀 Enormous appreciation to the masterminds behind this creation for transforming UI development into a seamless endeavor! #UIWizardry #NewGoToTool
As a product manager, I've seen many projects slow down because of lack of FE resources and the time spent by developers on writing CSS. This looks like a lifesaver for them and can speed up project delivery. The product looks really good too! Can't wait to share it with my team.
Such an exciting product for Devs!
The folks at Kombai have been hard at work for the past 16 months building the future of AI. When I got to demo the product, I was impressed by how efficient the model was in generating the code even when it was prompted with complex designs; all at just one click.
