Layer turns Google Sheets into a powerhouse for teamwork. The UI intuitively integrates additional functionalities without cluttering the workspace. The pricing, albeit paid, is justified for the seamless collaboration it fosters. It's a game-changer for synchronized data management.
As CFOs and Finance teams we love the spreadsheet -- excel or g-sheet -- but until I found Layer it was like pulling my wisdom teeth each budget cycle to share that sheet to my teams for targeted inputs and to fold those inputs back to a master. Genius. Productivity hack that should have been built natively into those spreadsheet tools. But until it is give Layer a try.
We recently adopted Layer to support with our reporting procedures and we have had fantastic results - namely through reducing the time spent on requesting and aggregating routine information requests. The product provides a seamless experience, where you can easily setup workflows to request information, catered to your preferred cadence, with a great level of customisation which adds a professional, company-branded touch when issuing external data requests. We have had amazing feedback on the product since rolling it out earlier this year, both internally and externally. Importantly, the team has provided us with a superb level of support when needed and we have already seen a wide range of new features added in the short time since adoption which has greatly benefited the overall experience. Started to use this in our small team and it's already becoming an integral part of our tools. I don't think I'll have a problem getting the rest of the company onboard.
This is a great add on to GSheets (and I guess Excel) to allow selective sharing and cross-team data collection in a controlled manner. The onboarding experience could be slightly simplified, I feel: it takes a bit to understand what's really going on, i.e. what a workflow is, etc... Apart from that, a product with a lot of value and potential.
