This is an impressive product. I was particularly impressed by the ability to switch between views, from outline<->tree<->task mode. It actually meets a certain need I have where I was plotting out my life goals and breaking down what I can do to achieve them, but was really struggling with what format that goes into. This is the first format I've seen that wants that info! Todoist, begone. This doesn't seem the app for quick, daily, misc, and boring todos--I'll still probably use Google Keep for those.

We'll see how it stands up to daily use.

Layer is really a great tool. I just finished using it for a brainstorming session and it was really so on point.

Kudos to the team for such a well done job.

I've just tried this app. The mind map/ Board feature looks cool and easy to use. However its confusing to use the templates as sometimes it wont import. My Tasks tab is not functioning at all.

I am using and exploring it. So far I like the idea but I can't find help or support within the app interface for issues I am encountering. Hope they will add quick Help/Guide section sooner.

Layer is a game-changer! The visual mind maps and focus mode make managing projects intuitive and stress-free. Highly recommend for staying organized!

I purchase the pro so I could give it a full test. I had high hopes but they were dashed quickly.

Lot's of 'Pro' features are not working.

  1. AI Assistant - not showing up anywhere.
  2. Upload (pdf, excel, docs, files) - will only allow pdf (5mg limit - not mentioned)
  3. A limit on projects (50 - not mentioned) and when I create a test project and delete it, it does not reduce the number of projects. I have zero (0) projects but it still shows 7 of 50.
  4. Can't upload files to projects or tasks (not really sure why you would want to upload files)
  5. No help documents or links
  6. No way to contact support.
  7. Only option in account is 'log out'. I can't cancel.

Very cool app. I have tried many different MindMaps, but stopped at this one. It is convenient that you can share individual branches of the map with colleagues and friends, and you can give open access through a link, so they can view the branch open to them without registration and authorization. Sharing to specific emails with the ability to edit, of course, is also available - we often use it with the team for brainstorms. Connecting AI to the service was a revolution! Respect.

It’s not easy finding a task management tool that feels natural to use, but Layer does a good job. The mind map structure makes big projects feel a little less daunting.

Layer has a simple way of making complicated projects feel manageable. I like how I can easily share parts of my work with others when needed.
