As outdoor lover I know the "quest" to plan a trip with your fellows. Since I visit remote places with no coverage at all, the feature to download your route for further usage in different apps is really useful. I'm looking forward to seeing route library although.
This sounds like the perfect tool for adventure-seekers! Manymap's features, like smart routing and POIs, make planning trips easier than ever. Plus, the real-time collaboration is a game changer. Can't wait to try it out!
This look really neat. I love the idea of being able to save multiple routes so that they all don't bunch together, even in the same location. Do you know about how long it will take for an OS app to come out? Using it in the browser is cool, but the main strength I believe will be the app!
Manymap is a dream come true for adventure lovers! The multi-day plans and real-time collaboration features are just what explorers need to plan their next journey. The app is super user-friendly and I love the POIs feature. Highly recommended!
Pros: The initial concept seemed promising, but I was unable to evaluate the product properly due to the issues below.
Cons: My experience was immediately soured by a few major red flags:
Aggressive & Deceptive Onboarding: Upon signing up, you're hit with a modal for a "7-day free trial" that you cannot close. It forces you through a multi-step guide that is clearly designed to funnel you into starting a paid subscription, which is very easy to do by mistake. This feels like a deliberate dark pattern.
Impossible to Delete Account: After deciding this service wasn't for me, I tried to delete my account multiple times. Each attempt fails with a generic error: "Something went wrong, contact support."
Unprofessional Support Channel: The "support" offered is a WhatsApp group, which requires you to share your personal phone number. This is not a standard or secure practice for handling account issues like deletion.
Final Thoughts: A service that makes it this difficult to leave raises serious trust issues. I'm very glad I didn't enter any payment information and would caution others to be extremely careful.
No complaints, solid performance.
It's similar to maps.me, but it has advantages. You can plan water routes. The navigation is more convenient. I continue testing it!
Wow, amaizing way to keep track of my routes! If I create some routes in the same area can I group them somehow?
Very cool service! I will try it next time I go cycling. Also, can I see locations on the map not only in the local language? Because when I'm traveling, it's a bit confusing.
Congrats on this launch, Alex! 🚀
I love the real-time collaboration aspect of Manymap!
It would be great to see a feature that suggests nearby accommodations based on the route planned to make adventure planning even more accessible.
I've had some hiking experience in Armenia and Turkey — it was a bit hard to start because there was not an easy-to-find place with great hiking routes. Especially adventure-like routes - over time I learned I enjoy the most when there are a lot of different views and terrains.
To be honest, the first two routes I tried made me suffer and were boring 😄
Manymap looks super interesting to me — I can plan the route, see the interesting places and terrain changes upfront, and collab with friends. Looking forward to trying this one for my next route 💜
