Reviews portray Mozilla as a privacy-first, open-source stalwart with Firefox praised for speed, extensions, and low resource use across Linux and Windows. Longtime users highlight reliability and trust, with some noting donations and two-decade loyalty. Common positives include strong privacy defaults, non-Chromium independence, and helpful community engagement. Constructive feedback cites occasional higher memory usage, uneven JavaScript performance causing lag for some, and gaps like Apple password manager integration. Overall, users view Mozilla as a principled, dependable choice that balances performance with user respect.

This review is based on the only Mozilla product I use, Firefox.

While I initially switched from Chromium browsers years ago (because FF just loaded pages faster), I cannot recommend FF anymore, because it often renders JS so inefficiently now, the user experience becoming laggy as a result.

Cons
inefficient JS rendering (1)

If you're familiar with Mozilla, you should install this first after purchasing a new PC or laptop. It delivers a fast, privacy-focused browsing experience with Firefox leading the way. It’s open-source, secure, and packed with useful extensions. However, it can use more memory and lag slightly behind Chrome in performance and compatibility. Overall, a great choice for users who value privacy and transparency online.

Pros
+ privacy protection (4)+ open source (1)+ fast performance (1)
Cons

I am using Firefox and Thunderbird since more than 20 years. And even I tried many other tools, these 2 are still a gold standard for me :-)

I've been using Firefox for many years, and even donated to Mozilla foundation a few times. For me the best "free" option in the market
