Amazing Tool for developing app
Highly reliable, and this product makes development easy.
Using it through development to integrate webhooks, it's an amazing tool.
Ngrok is convenient to use when you have a single local application and want to quickly make it accessible from the internet without setting up servers or domains.
Ngrok's generous free tier made the process of tunneling super easy, quick, and reliable! With Ngrok the user can just send over the collaboration link without having to upload to some cloud service and thereby keep everything on their computer!
We use ngrok to securely expose our API endpoints. This allowed our extension to seamlessly communicate with our backend services during testing and finalization through our VPS. Their reliable tunneling service was crucial for connecting our Chrome extension to our AI processing service.
One‑command, secure tunnels expose our localhost / Colab backend to the world in seconds, and the built‑in traffic inspector makes debugging webhooks painless.
Awful service, can't even have a demo with my customers because they are banning accounts, suspecting me in phishing. It's an easy task to save every response from the proxied service to see that it can't be a phishing website. I must add that their banning policy is forever, u have to write an email, to wait about 4 hours for a response that is explaining you why u have been banned, without any investigation process or help
I was mostly happy with the actual service, aside from a couple of basic features that weren't there and that I had to work around. Then my workplace introduced an in-house alternative that they wanted everyone to use. Trying to cancel your ngrok subscription is nearly impossible. I had an annual subscription but stopped using the product around March. At that point I went in to cancel the subscription but it causes an error stating that annual subscriptions can only be cancelled within a month of when they renew. You also can't remove payment methods until after you cancel. I don't see a legitimate reason to do this. It seems to me that they're hoping people forget to cancel in that 30 day window. As of September I still have 2 more weeks to wait. And of course, if I were to forget until November, it would renew and the timer would start all over again. Really gross business decision.
We have been using this for a development process and as a means to demo new features and share it across teams for over a year. It has worked very well and continues to provide tremendous value.
Its a great tool, very fast and easy to use. But for custom domain name its too expensive for me. It would be nice if you make the pro version free for students.
It's an incredibly powerful tool that allows me to quickly create secure tunnels to localhost, making it easy to test and debug my web applications.
The interface is intuitive and the documentation is clear and helpful. I highly recommend Ngrok for anyone looking for an easy way to securely test and debug their web applications.
