Originality - AI and Plagiarism Checker receives mixed reviews. Users appreciate its ability to detect AI-generated content and its user-friendly interface, with some praising it as an essential tool for content creators. However, many users report issues with false positives, where human-written content is incorrectly flagged as AI-generated. This inconsistency has led to frustration and skepticism about its reliability. A maker review from Milestone Content Studio highlights the importance of seamless integration and scalability in AI tools, though it doesn't directly address Originality's performance. Love this. I use it for all new blog posts to see what to correct prior to posting.
The AI detection effect is good, but it is not clear how this tool detects whether a piece of content is AI-generated. I tried to provide content from Google's official website, and sometimes it was detected as AI-written, which is obviously problematic.
Tried it with different texts and most times it’s close to 100% AI. Seems to label “ai generated” as default.
It's unreliable. I scanned one of my essays published in 2020, and it said it was 56% AI written. It was published before AI became accessible, and I used NO AI to create it. What bothers me is this company continues to claim it's false positives are only 1%-2%.
I wasn't sure how much AI-generated content might be lurking in my website's copy. Originality.AI scanned everything and gave me a clear report. It flagged a couple of product descriptions that seemed a little too generic – turns out, they were indeed written by an AI tool a while back. I replaced them with fresh, human-written descriptions, and I feel much better knowing my site is authentic.
I subscribed to this premium. I checked around 30 contents written by me. It flagged all written by AI. I have been checking other tools which show correct figures. But Originality AI is always wrong. I think Originality AI is doing business by making human content as AI content so people check again and again to reduce its score. I wasted more than USD 100 on checking content and later found that this is SCAM..... Find a better AI checking tool

I find it to be a mixed bag. The percentages may be a bit off, but it's quite capable of detecting AI content. However, it's not so great at detecting plagiarism.
For me, it just gives a random number close to either 0 or 100. It's a total waste of money.
I'm incredibly dissatisfied with my recent experience and wish I could give a zero-star rating. I used a tool to analyze a biography that I personally wrote five years ago, and to my surprise, it inaccurately identified it as being 100% AI-generated. Considering AI technology like this was introduced only in 2022, it's perplexing how my earlier work could be flagged as AI. This leads me to believe that the entire system is a scam designed to profit the sponsors while deceiving customers. To further test the tool's accuracy, I submitted an article published on a reputable health website, currently ranked third on Google. Astonishingly, this content was also wrongly labeled as 100% AI-generated, which is frankly absurd.
