Simplify is praised for streamlining the job application process, making it faster and less stressful. Users appreciate the autofill feature, especially on older job application sites, and the ability to quickly adjust resumes for accuracy and ATS compatibility. High pressure sales tactics that lead to a no refunds trap.

They use a scripted demo of their product to convince you that their product is good, and have you go through the process of uploading your resume and making a profile before they insist that you cannot use the product unless you put in a paid subscription. They do not tell you that they have a no refunds policy so if you realize that their AI is absolutely terrible at making resumes that would pass a human reader, you're totally out of luck! Seriously, their AI reads job descriptions for keywords and "rewrites" your resume by inserting these same keywords into seemingly random and incongruous places in your resume making it obvious to anyone you did not write you resume yourself. Their AI is total garbage. A hot mess execution of an interesting idea of a product, tied with a no refunds trap.

I was out of luck on this one, don't follow me into this trap! This company gets an A for just attractiveness but an F in integrity from me.

I regret paying for the subscription. The resume generation is useless without the ability to edit the resume or increase indent on bullets. Most concerningly, the 'Tailor Resume' feature hallucinates constantly and adds experience or achievements that I don't actually have - now I can see why people are getting interviews with this tool, it makes them look more qualified than they are. Until I can edit tailored resumes or do more advanced formatting on the resume generator, I won't be renewing and I'll be regretting the 3 month subscription I paid for.

limited resume editing (1) inaccurate resume suggestions (3)

Helpful service, however, avoid their job board feature. Many of the roles are weeks, if not months, old. And they provide no way to filter out listings based on this information.

Cons
outdated job listings (1) job board filtering issues (1)

Simplify.jobs is a useful platform for job research, offering valuable insights and job recommendations. However, its resume building feature needs improvement. The available templates are basic and lack sophistication for professional careers. Additionally, the AI-generated suggestions for resume customization seem disingenuous. The strategy of adding adjectives to enhance resume appeal is short-sighted, as it may lead to discrepancies between the resume and actual skills demonstrated during interviews. This could potentially undermine the credibility of job seekers during the interview process.

+ job recommendations (1)
Cons
basic resume templates (1) inaccurate resume suggestions (3)

Recently messed up their skills section script, which was previously working. Now it just continually adds skills even though there is a skill cap, which locks the UX into a loop you cannot escape.

Test your changes before you release them.

Cons
