Neat!
I've been using Folder Colorizer long ago when I had my PC. Super happy to see there's a Mac version. This little app looks refreshed and very pretty.
Folder Colorizer for Mac is a must-have app for anyone who wants to give their desktop a bit of a facelift. This app allows you to change the color of your Mac folders with just a few clicks, making it easier to organize your files and add a touch of personality to your desktop. The app is incredibly easy to use, and the color options are endless. What’s great about Folder Colorizer is that it’s not just a visual tool; it also helps you stay organized. By assigning a different color to each folder, you can quickly identify which folder contains which files, making it easier to find what you need when you need it.
:D made me smile. Great idea for organising folders and, to some degree, projects (at least that's what i had in mind). There are a couple of questions that i had in mind for this product.
- What happens if you receive a zip from someone, with folders personalised with your tool. Do they get to see the the styles?
2 (you can view this as a future idea) Can you do presets? Something like a recomandation/suggestion for different folder organising ideas that users can adopt. Just to have a starting point.
Great idea, nicely done.
To be honest, I was disappointed with the behavior of this nice developer when Beamer 3 simply stopped working. And instead of a clear answer, the official website gave some vague recommendations, like try to do this or that... Although the reason is that the new Apple TV is not supported in principle. And no one warned me about this before purchasing. Now about the long-awaited new version. So Beamer 4. Again some strange games, you can’t just upgrade, the first thing you do is offer a subscription to all products. Well, OK. But usability is still very controversial: every time you start you need to choose where to broadcast, every time I have to select Apple TV in the checkbox - the only thing I have. Very annoying.
So far I have tried Beamer 4 with my old Samsung TV and could not get it to work with my MacBook pro MacBook pro retina 13 inch late 2013 Running Big Sur. I tried to AirPlay to my Roku Express which supports AirPlay 2 It did not work. But I could Airplay my screen to the TV.Since then I have purchased a brand new Samsung Q70C which supports Airplay. I have tried Beamer 4 again, to no avail on my MacBook and my 2017 iMac.
I really enjoy the YouTube downloader and Daisy Disk. I've purchased from these guys multiple times with no issue, and their products update as needed to keep up with OS and other demands. I have spoken to customer service about a couple little things, and they are EXTREMELY fast to write back and fix the problem. Great company!
Don’t buy anything from this company, I bought a “for life” plan time ago for one of their software SYC2, but now that software doesn’t work anymore, they have an alternative who works, but instead of apologise and giving me that as a simple update, they want me to pay for it, like my plan subscription never existed before, really awkward situation, I’m disgusted.
DO NOT buy anything from this company. I bought a lifetime licence for SYC 2, and now have been informed by the company that they are retiring SYC 2 for Mac, and to continue to use an updated version (of the same software I already purchased with a lifetime licence) I now have to pay again (and a LOT more). Very deceptive and underhanded practices...
A great app for adding flair to the otherwise boring folders in Mac OS. Very glad to see that Folder Colorizer has been added to the App store at a reasonable price, and the software maker continues to add value to this product.
I love Folder Colorizer, but the version numbers don’t match up. @joshsoftorino you say v1.5 is out now, but the Mac App Store version shows v4.7.1 and the direct download from your website is v4.4.4 (no update to 4.7.1 available on the direct download version yet), so where does the 1.5 come from? I’m confused.
Happy to be the part of such a great app! The integration with Pixabay, Unsplash, and Pexels is fantastic and provides users with an extensive library of stunning images to choose from when customizing their folder backgrounds. :camera_with_flash: The gallery of special symbols is also a nice addition that can help users quickly identify the folder’s content without the need for words.
I have used some of their products. As for creator they really fit well, since there are not many companies out there doing such a specific apps. Great communication though - they film a lot of videos, keynotes, they look funny and “apple”-ish … haha ) I guess this is the only indie developer out there investing so much efforts into a clear communication of their apps. All in all - great apps from a great developer.
