I have a raspberry pi setup in my home which is connected to continuous power supply and high speed internet. I have been using tailscale to connect to my pi remotely and it works flawlessly. It also provides good features like tailscale ssh ( without setting up the pub and private key ), file sharing. Overall satisfied with the product

I really love tailscale, and as a app builder which use tailscale open source core, I am grateful they also open source their client, reading the code is a joy.

Performance was just terrible for me, even over Lan it regularly killed data transfer speeds from 80mbps to 2, between my pc and Synology drive, it seemed to route such transfers through the net so I constantly had to turn it off which seized up my Synology which required a reboot each time, such a waste of time and access was barely possible over the Internet, can’t even stream a video. So in the end it just did not work and my NAS now performs amazingly without it.

Cons
slow performance (1) network issues (1)
