Used for building the tool.
This is how I built 80% of this. It helped with design, integration, and even deployment. I connected it to Stripe, Supabase, and even helped me with Google Authentication. Wanted to see how far I could take it, and it took me all the way to product hunt launch.
Seems very promising, but not really living up to the claims made by the company or even the docs. You follow the process, exactly as described, only to realize when you're trying to launch anything that "Oh, Tempo didn't actually build out an auth structure," and "Oh, it keeps saying it is doing things, but not actually doing them, changing any code, or anything else, even though it says it is." Meanwhile, your credits shrink and the app freezes (losing you more credits).
I know we are all spoiled by really powerful AI tools for app development now, but at the very least the product should do what it claims to. Which at least in my case, this doesn't. It has huge potential, but I think it is overpromising by a lot.
It's the first AI builder that actually worked for me. I used cursor very little, much of hte product was built in Tempo Labs.
Promises huge, and im really trying to push throuhg, but ive endured endless frustration. sometimes it feels like giving your requirements to a goldfish. Ive paid for it, and Ive spent all day arguing with it, reminding it, tying to stop from making up requierements, gettign it fix stuff, going back to earlier restore points after it ties itself up in knots and cant solve its errors after 15 attempts. It looks so promising, but there's just not enough there to get you off the starting blocks, and no guidance or support to steer you. All your frustrations of fighting with, reminding and correcting chatgpt to do the thing you aksed, and have it go oh yeah youre right, let me ..... come to the fore in this experience. Im really hoping some good guidane emerges quickly
So far this has been my favorite full stack AI IDE provider. I am still surprised that these tools all have the same early user issues of building the authentication flow out incorrectly and getting in loops of wrong instructions. Tempo Labs suggests Auth0, which is great for it's simplicity, but doesn't provide the correct instructions off the bat for redirect URIs and env keys. Every tool I've used for AI development gets lost in this step. I end up having to put in the URL for the project saying, "Shouldn't the redirect be this URL instead of localhost ?" Then it acts like it is something it looked over.
Great app! I love that I can use the AI chat to help me in every stage of the product development cycle, it helps with the PRD, the design and the code. Especially love the feature where you can get it to create brand styles and typographies from an image. Game changer for anyone who wants to be able to efficiently build interactive prototypes and iterate quickly.
Tempo Labs is an impressive tool that offers a sleek and user-friendly interface, making it easy to onboard and start leveraging its features right away. One standout aspect is its real-time collaboration capabilities, which set it apart from many competitors in the space. The platform’s performance is smooth and reliable, with no noticeable bugs or crashes, giving it a polished feel that’s crucial for productivity tools. Its pricing is competitive, offering great value for the range of features provided, although expanding integrations with tools like Zapier could further enhance its versatility. While the analytics and tracking functionalities are robust, more customization options for reports would be a welcome addition. Overall, Tempo Labs has significantly streamlined my workflow, and I’d highly recommend it to teams seeking an efficient and innovative solution for project management and engineering.
Amazing service! A lot of time was saved by generating and editing templates from scratch, and the needs of UI designers were fully met. There is a great balance between when you need to do prompt-editing of the UI elements on the preview and when you need to go into the code to make custom adjustments.
Using Tempo Labs has been a game-changer for me. The AI-powered UI generation makes building React components incredibly fast, and the drag-and-drop editor lets me tweak designs effortlessly. I love the one-click deployment feature—it’s perfect for quick feedback and testing. While it’s currently focused on React, it integrates seamlessly with tools like Storybook, making collaboration easier. It’s saved me so much time and completely transformed how I work!
I have tried this and it's interesting to see how much I can achieve by just typing in a description of the app i'm trying to build. Designs and codes for various components were generated and I can tweak them with a visual editor to suit my exact needs. Pretty impressive 🔥🔥🔥
