Caveat emptor: “let the buyer beware”. I was one of the original Uteach “lifetimers” to whom they sold perpetual access. They backed out of it a year ago—no refunds, nothing. They just sent out an email saying they were canceling all lifetime deals. Why is this important? Because if you build a business around a platform, based on a promise, and they go back on one—they will go back on anything. Trust takes a lifetime to earn and seconds to destroy.
I purchased a lifetime deal for Uteach on AppSumo, two years later they emailed me, telling me they will no longer support the lifetime deals they sold, and that I will need to pay monthly to keep using this tool. Very shady bait and switch, buyer beware!
I love Uteach because it offers so many ways to produce course. It’s very easy too. It offers great quizzes and homework assignments as well. Students can even post their work as videos. If they are using mobiles, they can shoot and post directly from their phones. Super cool!
