Tested, really happy about the app
It has very intuitive design and easy to use.
I love how Shadow focuses on the most important aspect of the meeting: that is, in my opinion, the primary goal of Shadow is to guide users to "get things done" by providing various well-planned tools. There are so many apps that categorize themselves as "AI Notetaker", and the main catch of most of them (if not all) is that it can save user's time tremendously by "summarizing only important parts of a meeting", "easily writing meeting notes", "taking notes during a meeting" and "organizing all meetings for easy retrieval later" so that the user can spend more time on "what really matters". I never found value in those apps. Some features, like archiving of all meetings, really are, but summarizing a meeting that I was present at, or automatically taking a note for me without knowing what's important to me .... not so much. Granola, Jamie, Fireflies, Otter, the list of other apps I've tried goes on but their features rarely diverge from what I said above. Their goal is to organize meetings into easily digestible, bite sized information that can be easily retrieved, and nothing more. On the other hand, Shadow focuses on "what needs to be done post-meeting". The "skills", which are actions that can be applied to any meeting after it ends, are clearly designed to provide insight that are specifically important to me. The feature focuses on what "I" should know or need to do so that I can plan next steps accordingly, instead of simply listing all related facts as mentioned during the meeting that may or may not be related to me, sometimes horrendously out of context. Shadow has a strong philosophy in that it somewhat forces you to follow their way of approaching any meeting. Their perspective is reflected in the overall product, some in subtle ways, others not so much. If this design doesn't bother you, I'm sure Shadow will provide you better results.
It is a good start and shows a lot of potential. I am going to be using it as my primary meeting note taker for at least the near future to see how it progresses. The product team is great, very responsive, and accessible via their Slack channel.
Been using since the first beta and it is really terrific. If there was a Windows version we'd be using it organization wide. Our Mac users love it, find the bot free nature the best for meeting notes and it really has advanced to the point where the summaries and follow-ups it captures really are outstanding.
Shadow was one of the first tools I explored that worked out a way around having an agent join the meeting (and all the explanations that entailed). Since then the product has leapt ahead in leaps and bounds.
Love this app, in my top 10 always running apps. It's not attached to browser or zoom app but instead it's system wide listener, non invasive and doesn't sit on the meetings as an extra "person". The skills feature is so cool, I can customize various prompts to manipulate the transcript however I want it. I recommend it to all my partners and clients. Thanks Shadow team, keep it up! 🚀
Has helped me in many meetings and has improved a lot through the beta phase. Sometimes might still be a bit sloppy but I am sure this tool will thrive. It's been a great assistant
Tried out Shadow for meetings and it's been a lifesaver. No bots creeping in, just smooth and efficient planning. Makes staying organized so much easier! Definitely worth a look.
It has been working great and the team is very responsive. So much better than other solutions which are annoying in meetings where 10 different AI recorders are joining the meeting. Working seamlessly, in the background, is a huge advantage. The latest versions have amazing summarization, transcribing and note taking capabilities.
Imagine having a journalist-scholar as your note-taker. What would your meeting minutes look like? They're summary and bulleted statements that speak about what you said in an accurate, eloquent and complete way. Shadow nails it! "Templates" feature tells Shadow what things to listen for, for specific types of meetings like 1:1, lead generation, and more. AMAZING first public launch! Congrats, Jay and team! Can't wait to see what's up next!
Shadow is a great and useful product. I spend most of my day in meetings and keeping up with notes and remembering what happened in which meeting is a challenge. Shadow unobtrusively creates a transcript, summary, and can extract todos. The Shadow team has consistently been adding features and is quick to respond to feedback. Definitely worth giving it a try.
