This is, by far, my AI coding tool on daily use. The features on offer and the polished state of the vscode extension, are the best selling points. You see what is happening with/to your code in a streamlined way and with easy ways to go back some checkpoints on the changes and re-iterate until you get what you need. Everyone's got to try it.
I've used Continue.dev in the past. But Kilo Code is the most feature complete of the two.
As a complete beginner in coding—but with a lifelong passion for programming—Kilo Code has been a game-changer for me. Working as an accountant, I used it to build two practical tools: one for expense management and another for warehouse tracking, both tailored to my company’s needs.
My manager was so impressed that I received a formal recognition and bonus!
Thank you, Kilo Code, for empowering non-developers like me to create real, impactful software. I’m your biggest supporter—keep up the amazing work!
It stands out for its clear handling of agent roles that collaborate effectively, especially Orchestrator mode, which breaks complex tasks into subtasks and assigns them to specialists like Architect (for planning) and Coder (for implementation).
